British Columbia’s Sun Peaks Resort will once again play host to a Canadian meet. For the second year in a row, the resort will lay out the welcome mat for the Tim Horton’s National Mountain Bike Championships. This year’s event runs from July 19-21. Entrants will vie for national bragging rights in downhill, dual slalom, and cross-country events.

“Sun Peaks is a great venue for hosting a National Championship for a
number of reasons,” said Canadian Cycling Association’s director of
marketing and communications Fiona Morrow. “The courses, both the downhill
and the cross-country, are technical and challenging, which the riders
absolutely love.”

The Nationals will coincide with the Canadian Mountain-Bike Festival at
Sun Peaks. The event will include downhill clinics, mountain bike camps,
and dirt-jump demonstrations.
