July 24, 2018 (Milton, ON) – The National Cycling Institute Milton (NCIM) is thrilled to announce the inclusion of a late summer track race to their schedule. Set to take place August 19, from 3pm to 7 pm at the Mattamy Homes National Cycling Centre, the season opening race promises something for riders of all ages and abilities and will be a fun filled event for both sprint and endurance riders!

This mid-August race offers a chance for riders to dust off their track bikes in anticipation of the Track National Championships, while others will relish the opportunity to the use the form they have gained while turning left in T-Town; no matter which category riders find themselves in, this Peloton Contracting Season Opener is an event not to be missed. The NCIM is proud to put forth their first Summer Season Track race at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre. The race will offer a little something for everyone, said Executive Director Chris Reid. The evening will feature youth and adult races, including a special Keirin Tournament with some of the top sprinters in the region.

Setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting 2018/2019 Track Season, the August 19th event will kick off the NCIM’s roster of programming for the upcoming season, including targeted Pre-Nationals training, Track Certification, Track Fitness Training, NCIM Adult & Youth Race Series and more. New for the season are a full set of Giordana Madison jerseys curtesy of Uno Imports a leading importer of Italian cycling goods for the Canadian marketplace based in nearby Hamilton Ontario.
