National Capital Region Cycling Bursary
March 30, 2007 (Ottawa, Ontario) – The National Capital Region cycling bursary committee is proud to announce the recipients of the 8th annual award. The bursary provides funding to athletes that display both athletic ability and the desire to achieve greater goals. Since its conception in 2000 the bursary has distributed a total $16 800.00 to 20 athletes. Continued success of the bursary is possible due the strong affiliation and partnership with our wonderful contributors, which include:
Ontario Cycling Association, Ottawa Bicycle Club, Bike Race Ottawa, The Cyclery, Cyclelogik, Kompressor Kanada, and over 60 other contributors.
The 2007 recipients are:
– Sandy Fulton – $1,800
– Thomas Devisscher – $1,200
– Antoine Gauthier – $200
On behalf of the bursary advisory board we thank all the sponsors for their generous contributions that enable these athletes to have both the confidence of support and the financial means to compete at events beyond the local area.

National Capital Region Cycling Bursary
April 7, 2005 – Seenite Sports of Ottawa, Ontario is proud to announce the recipients of the 6th annual National Capital Region cycling bursary. The bursary provides funding to athletes that displayed both outstanding athletic ability and the desire to achieve greater goals. Since its conception in 2000 the NCR bursary has granted a total $10 400.00 to 14 athletes. Continued success of the bursary is possible due the strong affiliation and partnership with our wonderful contributors, which include:
Ontario Cycling Association, Ottawa Bicycle Club, Cyclelogik, The Cyclery, Westboro Chiropractic, Anthony and Fiona Prior, Craig Burge, Peter Tregunno, Paul Smeulders, Greg Crevier, Phil Brun Del Rey, Warren MacDonald, Peter Meier, and the participants of the Seenite Sports criterium series.
The 2005 recipients are:
– Brooke Boocock – $1200,
– Dale Beaton – $800
– Jennifer Stephenson – $700
– Kate Scallion – $600
