August 1, 2002 (Manchester, England) – Canada’s Lori-Ann Muenzer continues to
excel on the international women’s sprint scene, taking the silver medal
today. Muenzer qualified first yesterday with the fastest flying 200m time,
and went through the rounds to finally square off against Kerri Meares
(Australia). The best-out-of-three rides for the gold medal came down to the
wire, with Meares edging Muenzer.
