September 6, 2003, (Lugano, SUI) – It pays to race with the seniors. Newly crowned junior downhill champion, Australia's Sam Hill, has been racing the world cup circuit this season with the seniors, and successfully defended his junior title. The talented rider knocked eleven seconds off his closest rival, George Atherton (GBR) who won the silver. France's Cyrille Kurtz was third.
Hill, touring the world with Mad Catz Racing, is sitting in 8th place overall in the junior men's World Cup series. He also competes in the freeride scene, and has won the Red Bull Ride in Jindabyne, Australia.
Canadian Justin Brown moved up several places in the finals to finish with a time that put him in 34th place. Dominic Provost also had a great ride, finishing in 37th place. Jamie Biluk was 45th and Sean Brown was 48th. Seventy men competed in the junior men's event, with only two DNF's.
