June 3, 2006 — Marie-Hélène Prémont (Rocky Mountain/Business Objects), in 3rd place overall in the UCI/MTB World Cup rankings, has confirmed that she will be participating at the Sport Swap Canada Cup XC #3 at Hardwood Hills, Ont. this Sunday, June 4, and is looking forward to the race.
As an open weekend on the World Cup MTB schedule, Ontario fans will get a chance to watch the best women in the world race at Hardwood Hills. Prémont and Kiara Bisaro (Team R.A.C.E.), both top level World Cup racers, will challenge field at round #3 on the MTB Canada Cup circuit.
The course for the Canada Cup has been getting rave reviews from riders as fun, fast and challenging. The course loops back to the stadium area twice per lap down the infamous “boneshaker” to allow for excellent spectator interaction.
The Canada Cup is open to riders of all levels with race categories from Beginner to Elite. Registration is open until 1 hr prior to start.
The Sport Swap Canada Cup Cross Country starts on Sunday, June 4 at 8:30am and at 11:30am for the Elite categories.
