October 3, 2006 — We have just learned that the first running of the Montreal-Boston race next year will likely be postponed by one day and take place from August 5-12, 2007. Also reported on Radio Canada Sports, the previously announced dates of August 4-11 were in conflict with a NASCAR event on August 4.

In addition the race will probably include eight stages with four in Quebec, but these details are still tentative. It is also rumoured that Belgian top pro cyclist Tom Boonen (Quick-Step) might be on the starting line.

Reached by Pedal Magazine, race organizer, Daniel Manibal, mused that it would be nice if T-Mobile could participate at the race, “…and I think it is possible.”
