May 3, 2011 (Nanaimo, BC) – Mid Island Velo Association is organising a stage race on behalf of the BC Masters Cycling Association on May 21-22 next. As with all BCMCA events, juniors and cadets are welcome and will be placed in the appropriate category according to their skills and ability. This exciting venture which has two stages on picturesque Gabriola Island – the first time ever that a bicycle race has been held there.

One of the attractions at the event HQ is will be the Varna, HPV in which Quadra Island resident and Naked Bike owner Sam Whittingham established the current world HPV speed record, will be on display for all to see. We also hope to have builder, Georgi Georgiev on hand to talk about his creation.
