June 14, 2009 (Willingen, Germany) – Claire Buchar (Can) Chain Reaction Cycles/Intense has won the women’s Wheels Of Speed on Sunday in Willingen, Germany while Steve Smith (Can) MS Evil Racing placed a respectable 7th in them men’s race won by Gee Atherton (Gbr) Animal Commencal – last year’s winner. Apparently the course is not well liked but the $15,000 Euro cash purse is. The event takes place in conjunction with the Sympatex Bike Festival – more results to follow.
