March 23, 2007 – Milan-San Remo, one of Italy’s legendary one-day races, is on tomorrow. At just under 300 kilometres the 98th edition will once again take the pro peloton from Milan across the Lombardy plain to the first mountain pass, Passo del Turchino. Riders will soon be challenged by San Remo’s I Capi – Capo Mele, Capo Cervo and Capo Berta – followed by the famous Cipressa and Poggio climbs where the winning moves are often made. Look for Italy’s Filippo Pozzato (Liquigas) to defend his title this year against the biggest names in cycling.
