April 16, 2007 – This week Midweek Cycling Club’s weekly series resumes at the circuit at Tahoe and Buckhorn Gate in Mississauga. The weekly series started by Peter McCaffery in 1997 enters it’s 10th year and is a favorite training event for many Toronto area riders. This series and the accompanying Monday Learn-to-Race clinics has also helped bring many newcomers into the sport by offering a safe and accessible venue to develop skills and conditioning.
**Unfortunately cold temperatures and high wings will postpone the start of the Monday Night Learn-to-Race series until next week. Monday, April 23rd. Start time 6:45. **
The weekly race series will however begin Tues. April 17th. With one group starting at 6:45. Starting in May there will be two groups: 6:45 (Masters,Juniors,Women) and 7:15 (All Categories).
For 2007 Midweek Cycling Club is proud to welcome MCOR Logistics as a partner in the weekly series and we will feature four MCOR CASH POINTS races; May 8,June 5, July 10 and August 14. Each offering a $200 cash purse.
The weekly time trial series will return to the Kennedy Rd. course used in previous years and resume on May 10th.
We thank our many generous sponsors for 2007 including: Amino Vital, GNC, Harris+Harris LLP, MCOR Logistics, Projectcore Managers and Developers, La Bicicletta, Sweet Pete’s Bike Shop, Clearview Marketing Communications.
