October 27, 2007 – Michael Boogerd (Ned) Rabobank celebrated his retirement on October 22 with a farewell race, the Cauberg in Valkenburg criterium. Scores of fans showed up to support the 35-year-old, who has raced professionally since 1994.

Among Boogerd’s achievements, are three Dutch National Champion titles, a win at the Amstel Gold Race in 1999 and two Tour de France stage victories.

After the criterium, Boogerd hosted a retirement party. Here is a selection of photos from the festivities.
