McQuaid, the three-time XTERRA World Champion from Victoria, B.C., showed again why she is considered one of the finest athletes in the world by winning the grueling event by more than two minutes over Renata Bucher, of Switzerland, and an outstanding professional field. XTERRA is a demanding combination of a 1.5 km Swim, 30 km Mountain Bike race, plus a 11 km Trail Run.
