August 23, 2003 (Novato, Calif.) – Marin Bikes, known for its solid technology, superior performance and refined innovation, today announced that Sandra Walter, of Team Marin/Shimano, has been selected to represent Canada as part of the Mountain Bike World Championships in Lugano, Switzerland, August 31-September 7, 2003. Walter, a Victoria, British Columbia native, was selected to the team based upon her outstanding performances in North American and international competitions this season. Most recently, Walter won the Canadian National Series in Pro/Elite Cross-Country.

Walter will ride Marin's Mount Vision Pro, a full suspension mountain bike with a unique four-bar linkage system designed by ex-formula One engineer, John Whyte.
