February 8, 2007 – Marie Hélène Prémont (Rocky Mountain) recently addressed 200 students at Des Pionniers High School in Quebec City to encourage them to be more active.
“I think it is important to motivate our youth (to encourage them) to get out, be active, and be less sedentary than they are (presently),” said the 29-year-old 2004 Olympic MTB silver medallist. “If I can convince one or two of the students here (of what I’m saying), my presence will not have been in vain,” Prémont told Quebec daily le Nouvelliste.
Prémont has finished her degree in kinesiology at Laval University in Quebec City and now is studying pharmacology at the same university.
