February 21, 2004 – Over 20,000 people paid tribute to the late Italian cycling champion Marco Pantani, who died last Saturday, February 14. The funeral took place in the town of Cesenatico and was attended by a variety of fans and cycling luminaries, including Gianni Bugno, Igor Astarloa and Francesco Moser.
