Manitoba Cyclocross Championships – Results & Photos

November 7, 2007 – The Manitoba Cyclocross Championships took place last Sunday. The race was presented by Olympia Cycle and hosted by the Belgian Club. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible:

Race Officials: Arlene Woodcock and Brent Brentnall, with medal presentations by Tim Woodcock, MCA Vice-President of Road Racing Course marshals and first aid, from the Belgian Club Course clean-up, set-up and tear down crews: Rick Yaschyshyn, Scott and Deanna Wiebe, Paddy Humenny, Dallas Sigurdur, Chris Huebner, Hal Loewen, David Hall, David Dorning, Allan Robertson, the Algeos, Adrian Huemmer, Cam McLaren, Donna Hall, Tomek Jasikiewicz, Scot Miller, and others. Race day entertainment: Belgian Folk Dancers of Winnipeg; Liam, Silas & all the trials guys Event Sponsors: Half Pints Brewing (soon to be on tap at the Belgian Club???), Velo Artisan Bread, Manitoba Union of Cyclocross Riders, and Olympia Cycle on Portage Avenue. Our wonderful hosts, the Belgian Club, including Bernice, Lorraine and Janis, all the Superfans, including Dave Benson, event photographer.

*A couple of racing licenses were left at the race; these will be available at the November 18th, season finale race, held on a never-before-used course. See you there!
