February 04, 2014 (London, ON) – Roger Deroo, an avid local cyclist in London, Ont., passed away in his 88th year on Friday, January 31. Deroo was a tobacco farmer for 35 years and retired in London, Ontario in 1983. A fixture in the London cycling scene “…he was an avid cyclist and enjoyed his sport very much, taking part in club races and many tours.”
Deroo was a “…beloved and caring husband of Yvonne. Proud dad of Richard (Katherine) and Shirley and her best friend Gary Gamble. Loving grandpa to Jake Deroo. He is survived by his brother Julius (Nellie). Predeceased by his sister Georgette Cnockaert.”
