December 10, 2012 – Lex Albrecht, formerly with Optum Pro Cycling Women’s Team has signed with a new team for 2013 and we caught up with the 2012 Quebec road champ on Sunday to ask who she will be riding with. While Albrecht confirmed that she will be with a new squad, she remained coy about her new squad.

“I am in California with my new team for a brief team building camp right now. Unfortunately the official announcement has not been made so I’m not in a position to share what the name of the team is at this point.”

In 2011, Albrecht finished second at the Canadian road championships. In 2010, she was the Quebec crit champ. Albrecht, 25, rode for Cascades-ABC Cycles in 2010, for Juvéderm Specialized Mazda in 2011.
