December 23, 2007 — Lance Armstrong has accepted an invitation from Israel to inaugurate a bike trail from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The seven-time TdF winner agreed to the request from Israel’s New York City consulate according to Ilan Marciano, a spokesman for the Israeli government who spoke to AFP. The date of the inauguration was not specified, but the event will be part of celebrations marking Israel’s 60th anniversary of independence.
