June 17, 2010 (Mont Tremblant, QC) – Mont Tremblant is launching Tremblant’s 24 Hours of Cycling, a brand new cycling event that will take place Sept. 10-12, and combines fun and cycling all for a good cause. It consists of riding in a relay with your team members over 24 consecutive hours on the magnificent Circuit Mont-Tremblant, to raise money for the Cedars Cancer Institute and CHUM. The event is joining the Cedars Tour de Lance where Lance Armstrong will ride the first lap with participants on Sept. 11 and then leave the circuit to continue his Tour de Lance also in the region. Participants waiting for their turn to ride and spectators will have the chance to take advantage of free clinics, entertainment and other activities.
2010 Fundraising Objective: $250,000
The funds raised through this event will go to the following two organizations: Cedars Institute and the 24h of Tremblant Foundation. The goal of this new partnership with the Cedars Cancer Institute is to bring together the greatest possible number of cyclists to benefit children’s causes – mainly research of cancer in children.
