June 19, 2006 — The 8th annual Tim Horton’s Great Lake to Lake MTB event went off under hot sunny skies, providing an epic day of mountain biking for nearly 1,200 participants on Sunday, June 18.
Josh Hall of KHS stamped his authority on the race for the third year in a row by ridding himself of Tristain Galbraith and Ramone Mira de Orduna in the dry dusty singletrack, in a record time of 1:40 (even with an extended course).
The race ended up on the beach in Port Dalhousie with a party atmosphere.
Special thanks to Tim Hortons, Cramaro Tarps, Veltec, Shimano, St. Catharines Cycling Club, Pedal Magazine, White Oaks, Fox Clothing, and the OCA.
