May 28, 2004 – Today the New Zealand team stole the limelight away from
France at the Track Worlds in Melbourne, Australia. Sarah Ulmer of New
Zealand came from behind in the last third kilometer of the women’s
Individual Pursuit to take gold. Awhile later, pumped from watching Ulmer’s
performance, Greg Henderson hammered home another gold for New Zealand in
the men’s Scratch Race. Henderson, who rides for the American road team
HealthNet-Maxxis, couldn’t believe that thirty laps of hard riding could
suddenly make him a World Champion. Both Kiwi’s are elated and “stoked”.
