April 19, 2012 – Glenn Meeuwisse from Pulse Racing, organizer of the upcoming Canada MTB Cup at Hardwood Ski and Bike June 2-3 contacted Pedal with the following note from two MTB XC racers from New Zealand looking to race here in Canada.

I’ve received the following email from New Zealand XC racers, and offered to put it out to the MTB community. Anyone interested in helping please contact Mathew directly at mathewwaghorn@hotmail.co.nz – Glenn

My name’s Mathew Waghorn and I’m an XC racer from New Zealand. I’m planning on doing the MTB World Cup in Canada and the World Cup in USA. I’m travelling with a fellow racer (Brad Hudson), and we are hoping to race in the Hardwood Canada Cup and the Canadian National Champs as a bit of a build-up.

Our problem is the travelling, as we are both under 21 we cannot hire a car and we can’t find someone over 21 to travel with us to allow this. We were wondering if anyone could help us get to these races; perhaps someone who could give us a ride to the towns. We haven’t booked flights yet so we could fly into whichever city makes it more convenient. Any help would be much appreciated, as we are quite stuck at the moment!
