Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix on July 27 – $28,400 Prize Purse

July 12, 2019 (Kitchener, ON) – With one of the biggest prize purses in Ontario at $28,400, the fifth annual Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix hosted by Cycle Waterloo is set for July 27. As one of five races in the Ontario Criterium series, which has seen an increased importance in the overall series standings, riders at this year’s Kitchener Twilight GP will surely be vying for more with $3,000 on the line for the men’s and women’s winners.

The race takes place at Victoria Park in the heart of downtown Kitchener which will be bustling when racers from across Ontario converge for the third of five Ontario Criterium series races. It is estimated that over 5,000 spectators will be on hand to watch riders contest the 1.3km course.

With pro announcing the Kitchener Twilight GP is a nationally sanctioned race for Junior Men, Junior Women, Elite 1/2, U23 Men and Elite Women. It will also feature several youth categories and a para category as well.

In addition to $2,500 in Primes the U19 and U23 racers will be also competing for a $5,000 bursary sponsored by Transit Petroleum to be split among the top-three finishers in the male and female races.
