Kevin O\’Brien Moves On From Cycling BC

December 19, 2005 – In 2001, when the CCA assumed control of BMX Racing in Canada, Kevin O’Brien was hired to create and design Cycling BC’s new BMX division.

We would like to express our gratitude and best wishes to our resident BMX expert as he moves on to a new career and new adventures. Kevin came to our group when the CBA (Canadian BMX Association) was replaced by the CCA as the governing body for BMX and has established Cycling BC BMX as a viable and growing entity.

His recent accomplishments include the development of a NEW track in Kamloops and ongoing negotiations with several others including North Vancouver. Other notable accomplishments include the successful ‘King of Bikes’, the annual Race Guides and publishing the first Canadian, New Track Development Guide for BC and Ontario.

We will miss his boundless energy and enthusiam for the sport and people.
Good luck in your new adventure!

Tom Fawsitt, Executive Director
Cycling BC

Note:
Adam Muys will take over from Kevin and Larissa Hoath as the full-time BMX Manager starting January 2nd and we are pleased to have him as part of our team!
