October 24, 2008 – Speed River Cycling Club is proud to present their 5th Annual Halloween Cyclocross stage race being held at the Kelso Conservation area in Milton, Ontario this weekend, October 25-26/08. This location is convenient, as it is located just off of the 401, and beautiful as it is located on the Niagara Escarpment, a world biosphere reserve.

This two-day event features two unique and individual courses, daily prize purses, as well as an overall GC prize purse.

Saturday’s race course involves a challenging runup and some tricky off camber sections. Sunday’s race course features sand, off camber sections and a selection of short steep run/rideups.

Prizes will be awarded on Saturday for the best Halloween costume from each start time (10am, 11:30am and 1pm).

To celebrate the event’s 5th Anniversary FREE entry to Sunday’s race is available to all riders who have raced every edition of the Halloween Cross race and the our highly successful Guelph Cross race from earlier this season. Discounted pre-registration is available on the OCA website until noon on Friday October 24th. Day-of registration will also be available, including ability to register for Sunday’s race on Saturday.
