KBS/Medifast Announces New Sponsor at Training Camp

March 13, 2007 (Minneapolis, Min.) — The Kelly Benefit Strategies/Medifast pro cycling team, only weeks into the 2007 season, announces today at the team’s official training camp, the addition of a major new sponsor, Materials Processing Corporation (MPC), one of the country’s leaders in the rapidly emerging field of e-cycling.

Headquartered in Eagan, Min., MPC is a leader in the responsible recycling, reclamation and resale of computer and other technology hardware. The company joins a roster of other big name backers including Maryland-based co-titles Kelly Benefit Strategies and Medifast.

“We’re excited to be on board for what’s turning out to be a very busy first year season for the team,” says MPC President David Kutoff. “Cycling attracts a more affluent, educated demographic that cares about the larger community, and with the team’s heavy riding schedule all over the country, we get to spread our message in a lot of different communities. As well as see some fantastic racing, of course.”

John Kelly, president Kelly Benefit Strategies agrees. “We’ve always thought green was good –look at the Kelly green on our jerseys. But MPC joining the team confirms that. Their addition makes perfect sense; where our firm and Medifast are in the business of health and wellness, MPC is in the business of making the environment a little healthier.”

The Kelly Benefit Strategies/Medifast team jerseys, new team cars, team kit and all promotional materials already bear the distinctive MPC logo front and back. The team is managed by Circuit Global Sport Management in Minneapolis.
