May 1, 2008 – The Canadian Paralympic Committee has an opening for a CPC Paralympic Team Manager to manage all aspects of the day-to-day organization and preparation of the Canadian Paralympic Team’s involvement in the Paralympic and Para Panamerican Games.

Position: Paralympic Team Manager

Job Description: The CPC Paralympic Teams Manager will manage all aspects of the day-to-day organization and preparation of the Canadian Paralympic Team’s involvement in the Paralympic and Para Panamerican Games.
In collaboration with the CPC Games Missions Committee, the Teams Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the plan to ensure the successful preparation of Canadian Paralympic Teams at Major Games. Key areas of responsibility will include: Village Operations, Accreditation and Entries, Team Clothing, Travel, Athlete and Eligibility Agreements, Special Events, Volunteer Management and Stakeholder Liaison, along with all other duties required to support the Canadian mission.

The successful candidate shall seek and receive overall direction from the CPC’s Senior Manager, High Performance. The salary for this employee position will be commensurate with experience, and the position will be based in CPC’s Vancouver office.

Qualifications:

“¢Post-secondary education, preferably in Sports Administration/Management

“¢Experience as member of a major Games mission
“¢Experience managing volunteers
“¢Strong computer skills
