January 16, 2008 – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is seeking to fill a High Performance Coaching Consultant position to assist in the development of multi-sport and sport-specific advanced coaching programs leading to the development of expert coaches in Canadian sport.

Position: High Performance Coaching Consultant

Reporting to CAC Senior Management, the High Performance Coaching Consultant will:
“¢ Work closely with the network of National Coaching Institutes in the development and delivery of advanced diploma and professional development programs.
“¢ Provide consultation to national sport organizations in the development of the NCCP High Performance context.
“¢ Liaise with higher education institutions (colleges and universities) in the delivery of coaching specialist degrees and diplomas.
“¢ Liaise with Podium Canada to ensure continuity in National Team Coach Professional Development Initiatives.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess a masters degree in a coaching-related field, have eight or more years of high performance sport and coaching experience, and have proven expertise in project management. You will bring a track record of success in coaching development, education (e.g. program development, course delivery, coach assessment) and management of sport programs. You will be knowledgeable of the National Coaching Certification Program, the Canadian high performance sport environment and other countries High Performance Coach Education Programs/Initiatives. You demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingualism is an asset.

A compensation package will be negotiated commensurate with education and experience. This position is scheduled to start on or before April 1, 2008.
