January 12, 2012 – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is seeking to fill the position of Coordinator – Marketing and Communications. The CAC acts as a connecting force between several audience groups: its sports partners, corporate sponsors, Learning Facilitators, the coaching community, athletes and their parents. The association is on the cusp of great growth and change. This position is integral to that growth.

LOCATION: CAC office, Ottawa
REPORTS TO: Manager, Marketing & Communications
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is integral to the success and growth of the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC). The foundation has been built and we need an inspired and dynamic individual to help drive us to our goal.
Key Responsibility Areas for this position:
• Communications support
• Coordinator of the Sport Nutrition for Athletes & Coaches program (SNAC)
• Event Support
• Promotions
• Research
• Media Relations
• Brand Marketing
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide marketing and communications support to the department;
o Maintain CAC’s bilingual website – coach.ca;
o Work with Manager of Marketing & Communications to generate valuable content for the web and social media;
o Help create and send monthly email newsletters;
o Liaison with printing companies where required;
o Lead measurement, reporting, and analytics for media, social media and marketing initiatives;
o Maintain CAC’s email marketing database;
• Develop the SNAC program into THE go-to resource for sport nutrition on the web;
• Oversee the integration of the CAC and the NCCP brands across all products;
• Work with the research & development and sales & marketing teams to help develop innovative ways to encourage new coaches to take NCCP workshops;
• Active involvement in cross-functional teams including events, creative development, information technology, research & development, and coaching consultants.
Leadership and Team work
• Champion the CAC and the NCCP brands both internally and externally;
• Create and foster strong working relationships with all stakeholders across the organization.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
• Ability to communicate (spoken and written) in French and English essential;
• 2-3 years related communications & marketing experience;
• Degree or diploma in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field;
• Experience with website content management systems essential;
• Knowledge and understanding of the Canadian sport system and the NCCP an asset;
• Knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and the printing process an asset;
• Strong project management skills from idea through to execution;
• Consistent positive energy;
