Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada

The Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada is seeking to fill the position of Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant’s primary responsibilities will be to assist the Executive Director in the corporate affairs and in the general administration of the office and of the Dispute Secretariat. The incumbent will therefore be responsible for maintaining databases up to date, coding and classifying financial documents, filing, preparing agendas, reports, materials and minutes of business meetings, and collaborating to the planning of annual events and conferences. The Administrative Assistant will also assist the Executive Director in managing the activities of the SDRCC when needed, including the elaboration of operational plans and the implementation of the education programs and communication plan.

Qualifications: This position will require high level of versatility and interpersonal skills. The candidate will have strong organizational skills and be comfortable working in a busy environment. The candidate will have successfully completed training in office administration, or possess 3 to 5 years of experience as administrative assistant or project assistant. The candidate must be familiar with the Windows environment and be literate in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Explorer. The candidate must be fluent in French and English, possess superior verbal and written skills and be able to work in a team and actively contribute to a positive work environment. The candidate must be available for occasional evening or weekend work. Familiarity with the Canadian amateur sport system would be an asset.

Salary Range: 28,500-33,600

Canadian Olympic Committee – Project Manager, Team Operations (Olympic Preparations and Games Dept.)

The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is a national, private, not-for-profit organization committed to high-performance sports excellence. The COC is the largest private supporter of high performance sport in Canada and we are responsible for all aspects of Canada’s involvement in the Olympic Movement, including participation in the Olympic and Pan American Games.

The COC is seeking a dynamic individual to join its Ottawa office. The Project Manager, Team Operations is responsible to manage Olympic, Olympic Winter and Pan American Games projects and programs with emphasis on day-to-day operations and logistics.

Core Responsibilities and Priorities:
– The Games Clothing Program
– The Games Procurement Program
– The Outside of Village Accommodation Program
– The Games Local Volunteer Program
– The Team Ticket Order
– The Team Meal Allowance Program
– All logistics and assistance with the conceptual framework of Games Information Seminars (Team Orientation and Preparations Seminar, Sport Orientations, Outreach Program, National Sport Federation Info sessions)
– The gathering, coordination and posting of Zeus applications. (Games database and communications system)

Qualifications and Critical Skills:
– Excellent logistics skills
– Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
– Self-motivated, creative team player
– 5 years’ experience in an NSF or Multi-sport work environment
– Community college or university degree
– Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
– Knowledge of Database applications
– Bilingualism (English/French) preferred

Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport – Web and E-Learning Coordinator

Our busy national office, located in Ottawa, requires an experienced Web and E-Learning Coordinator to provide technical support to all areas of our operations. The starting salary range for this fixed term employment opportunity is $40,000 to $45,000 plus benefits and is for a period of approximately one year. Job responsibilities include:

Website:
– Develop and manage content for a number of websites, working as part of a team.
– Develop new site features, functionality and/or design concepts.
– Perform quality assurance testing.
– Work with a wide range of media, including images, streaming video, audio and Flash.
– Monitor site traffic to improve user experience.
– Optimize ranking in the major search engines for desired keywords.
– Develop in-bound links from relevant sites and directories.

Graphics and Communication:
– Contribute innovative ideas and concepts for various collateral (web, print, multimedia) and promotional material as required.
– Produce creative web, print and multimedia materials in a timely manner.
– Maintain consistency in branding and design across all media: web, print and multimedia.

E-learning:
– Assist the Senior Manager, Technology and Design to develop e-learning courses.
– Assist in the development of audio and video for e-learning courses.
– Test e-learning courses.
– Manage the online learning portal, including access control, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Technical skills required include:
– Bachelor degree in Computer Science and/or communication from an accredited college or university.
– Minimum two years experience in website writing and maintenance (portfolio required).
– Proven online marketing experience.
– Proven experience using graphics and web development tools including HTML, Photoshop, Acrobat.
– Knowledge of other programs (e.g., MS Access, Flash, Premiere) and programming languages (e.g., Visual Basic) an asset.
– Expertise in website testing and search engine optimization an asset.

Job requirements include:
– Excellent interpersonal skills including strong verbal and listening skills as well as written communication.
– Excellent project management skills and organization.
– Ability to learn quickly, self-motivated with the ability work independently and collaborate as a strong team member.
– Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to changes.
– Ability to operate under pressure and meet or exceed deadlines.
– Bilingualism (French and English) considered an asset.
