Position: Sport Performance Coordinator

Job Description:
Each Sport Performance Coordinator is responsible for the management and delivery of the performance aspects of PacificSport’s technical programs for athletes and coaches within a specific regional area at the regional level. As a lead technical facilitator at the regional level, this position is responsible for assisting PacificSport with sport system development, providing referrals to professional coaching and athlete services, promoting professional development opportunities for coaches, monitoring and evaluating sport system performance targets, and working closely with Regional Coaches in planning and preparing for events. The position also assists the Sport Performance Directos and Provincial Sport Organizations with developing the annual work plan for sports. The Sport Performance Coordinator will be assigned sport development and integration responsibilities for a specific BC Games Zone(s).

The Sport Performance Director is responsible for the integration of assigned national, provincial and regional sports. As a lead technical facilitator at the provincial level, this position is responsible for assisting PacificSport with sport system development, providing referrals to professional coaching and athletes services, monitoring and evaluating sport system performance targets, and assisting the Performance Director with developing the annual work plan for sports.
