As the Canadian Sport Centre in British Columbia, PacificSport delivers sport performance programs to help athletes and coaches win medals for Canada. Working in support of our national, provincial and regional sport partners PacificSport is creating a stronger system for the development of athletes, coaches, performance enhancement teams, and sport performance facilities. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our PacificSport Communications team in the capacity summarized below.

Number of positions: One Reports to: Manager, Communications

Purpose of Position: As an integral member of PacificSport’s Communications team, this position involves coordination of PacificSport-related events including project planning and promotion, partner/stakeholder communication, on-site coordination and the development of PacificSport promotional and collateral material. The position also provides general Communications support across the organization including maintaining and broadening PacificSport’s website, coordinating shared promotional materials, and ensuring appropriate use of PacificSport branding. The Communications Coordinator will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, event managers, and media representatives; the successful applicant will be a dynamic professional with a passion for sport, demonstrated knowledge of event planning, and a background in the communications field.

Location: Vancouver Hours of Work: 37.5 hour work week Salary Range: $35,000 – $42,000* Closing Date: 4:00 pm on January 15, 2007

*Note: Salary will be commensurate with level of experience, skills and qualifications, and subject to negotiation with successful applicant.
