Job Offer – Cycling BC

September 30, 2006 – Cycling BC is now hiring for the position of Member Services and Administration Coordinator. F/T Members Services and Admin Coordinator Position Available.

Cycling BC is looking for the right person to join our busy team in the role of Member Services and Administrative Coordinator. The position consists of coordinating the non-technical member service functions of the association, performing basic accounting functions, and managing the day to day administration of the Cycling BC office.

This energetic person must have at least one year administrative experience, good computer knowledge, strong communication and problem solving skills and has the ability to work independently. Supervisory Responsibilities

The position is supported and assisted by student interns from Universities in Europe and Asia. Program staff also provide general assistance respond to enquires specific to their discipline (BMX, Road, Mountain Bike)

Member Services

Process member affiliation forms and applications for CCA/UCI licenses.
Update BC Cup Rankings and BMX District Points.
Support club development initiatives (BMX come and try. SprocKids, etc)
Development of operational policies as it pertains to the overall responsibilities e.g. Member Services Policies. (All policies require the approval of Cycling BC’s Board of Directors)

Administration

Respond to general enquires and perform “receptionist” duties (couriers, etc)
Coordinate the administration of the general office (order office supplies, etc)
Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail
Post new content to the Cycling BC website

Accounting

Administrate payment for rider levies, race licenses, and miscellaneous services.
Use the online registration system (Karelo) to administrate courses and licenses.
Coordinate the daily finances of Cycling BC, including:
Accounts receivable/Accounts payable
Profit and Loss / Cash Flow Projection Statements
Recording of all GST and PST
Bank statement reconciliation on a monthly basis
Prepare and deliver bank deposits.

Provincial Team Coordination


Coordination of Provincial Team and logistics
Collection of program revenues from athletes

Executive Assistant


Coordinate requests for meetings with the Chief Executive Officer
Book meeting rooms, arrange conference calls, and other logistics
Coordinate travel and accommodation for the Board of Directors and CEO

Sponsorship


Attend races to ensure sponsorship commitments are met (banners in place, etc).

General Competencies/Skills

“¢ Minimum one year’s administrative experience

“¢ Excellent computer knowledge

“¢ Strong communication and problem solving skills

“¢ Ability to work independently

Other Details

Hours: Approximately 37.5 hours/week, various days and hours; availability to work weekends & evenings is required with the need to travel at the provincial, regional, and national / international level.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
