March 21, 2007 — The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport requires two dedicated individuals as soon as possible to join the team responsible for the development and implementation of Canada’s Anti-Doping Program. These term positions (to March 31, 2008) have a starting salary range of $36,000 to $39,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Testing Program, the essential qualifications for these positions include:
– Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with volunteers
– Strong English and French language communication skills
– Sound judgment and professional attitude
– Proven ability to work in a team
– Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and procedures
– Self-initiative and ability to effectively deal with multiple priorities
– Proficiency in MS Word
– University degree in sport, health promotion, social sciences or business administration, or equivalent combination of education and previous relevant experience
While not essential, it would be a definite asset to have:
– Significant hands-on experience with doping issues with established knowledge of doping-free sport and of the Canadian Anti-Doping Program
– Knowledge of international doping control requirements and doping control programs
Responsibilities:
The key areas of responsibility for these positions are:
– To coordinate doping control testing in order to achieve the testing program objectives
– To assist with the overall development, maintenance and improvement of the testing program, including the CCES’ program management system for doping control
– To assist with recruitment and training of Doping Control Officers and Chaperones
– To provide doping control information services to clients
– To assist with major games services and fee-for-service testing as required
– To assist with projects and events as required
