July 18, 2005 – The Nordev Group of Elliot Lake is excited to organise its second annual Jewel in the Wilderness. This year’s event has Canada Cup and Ontario Cup designation. The challenging hilly road course will remain the same however the criterium has been extended to 1.3 km and a 3.5 km hill climb has been added. A technical guide will be available next week.

Saturday August 13th
– Provincial Hill Climb Championship
3.5 km course
Milliken Mine Road
First rider starts at 8 AM

Criterium
– 1.3 km Downtown circuit
Jr Men / Sr 3 / Master CD / Cadet Men – 1 PM, 1 hour
Master AB – 2 PM, 1 hour
Women – 3 PM, 1 hour
Senior 1/2 – 4:30, 1.5 hours

Sunday August 14th
– 24.2 km Road Race (same course as last year)
Senior 1/2 Men – 10 AM, 169.4 km, 7 laps
Master AB – 10:05, 121 km, 5 laps
Jr Men / Senior 3 Men / Master CD / Cadet Men – 10:10, 96.8 km, 4 laps
Senior Women – 10:15, 121 km, 5 laps
Cadet / Junior / Master Women – 10:15, 72.6 km, 3 laps

Registration

Jewel in the Wilderness is preregistration only. Riders must sign up for
all 3 events. The DNF rule will not be in effect.

Cadet / Junior / Master C / Master D – $60
Senior / Master A / Master B / – $70
Price increase of $10 on August 5th (additional $10 fee will be distributed
as additional primes)
