December 9, 2009 (Montreal, QC) – On Tuesday the Disciplinary Board of the Quebec College of Physicians imposed a 1-yr suspension against Dr. Maurice Duquette, Genevieve Jeanson’s former physician, including a $24,000 fine reports CP. Duquette prescribed érythoropoïétine (EPO) to several athletes including Jeanson and has 30 days to appeal the decision.

Last spring Duquette and Jeanson’s former coach, Andre Aubut, were both suspended for life by the Canadian Center for Ethics in Sport (CCES) for encouraging her to use EPO repeatedly during her career – read CP article (in French) or the Montreal Gazette.
