May 31, 2003 (Montreal, Quebec) – On a warm, beautiful day on the infamous Mont Royal course, GeneviÔ¹ve Jeanson (Rona/Esker) rode a cool, calculated race to win from a break of five. Jeanson could be seen in the top-three all day up the climb and ultimately found her in a break of four, from which each rider took a turn attacking from. But, sure enough, on the last climb Jeanson attacked hard on the climb to take the race from Tour de l'Aude winner German Judith Ardnt (Nurnberger Versicherung) by 200 metres.

World Cup leader Nicole Cooke (Ausra Gruodis/Safi) came in third. Canada's Lyne Bessette was dropped from the lead break the last time up the climb and finished eighth. Defending champion Dede Barry (T-Mobile) had a tough day, suffering from a nagging cold.
