May 15, 2008 – This weekend Ozzie’s Cycle and Sport in Port Alberni is hosting the first event in the Island Cup Cross Country Marathon Series. It promises to be a fun, fast and challenging course with beginners and intermediates doing two laps and experts doing three laps. Lee Blais of Ozzie’s suggests a full suspension for the course and he is the resident course designer, so he should know.

Registration will be starting around 8:00am in the morning with racing commencing at 10:00am. On top of the $20 registration fee, all participants must be members of a GRMBA affiliated club or they can purchase a one membership for $10.
