July 08, 2013 (France) – On the first Rest Day at the Tour Pedal’s Amy Smolens caught up with Ryder Hesjedal (Garmin-Sharp), who has a fractured rib from a crash on Stage 1, and has suffered in the mountains but put in a stellar effort on Stage 9 to help his teammate Dan Martin claim the win.
Peter Kraiker also talked with Svein Tuft who’s having an incredible debut at the Tour as his Orica-GreenEdge team is on cloud 9 following their two stage victories – first Simon Gerrans delivered the team’s first Tour win taking Stage 3 and then he donned the yellow jersey on Stage 4 making history for himself and the team following their TTT victory. The magic continued when Daryl Impey became the first South African to wear the maillot jeune on Stage 5. We hope to connect with David Veilleux very soon as well…-ed
