July 12, 2013 (Vancouver, B.C.) – Winnipeg’s Leah Kirchmann (Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies) handily won the 30-lap, 36 kilometre Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix women’s race for her third BC Superweek podium. Kirchmann was recently crowned the Canadian Criterium Champ for a third time in Ste-Georges, QC at the 2013 Road Nationals so it’s no surprise that she added Gastown to her long string of victories despit it being her debut at the fabled race. Pedal caught with her yesterday before she headed off to the Giro di Burnaby.
