September 06, 2016 (Peniscola, Spain) – Pedal caught up with Canada’s Ryan Anderson (Direct-Energie) on Rest Day 2 at this year’s Vuelta a España. Anderson, 28, from Spruce Grove, Alberta, made his jump to the WorldTour this year with some good results such as finishing 5th at GP la Marseillaise and his first UCI 1.1 podium in Europe as a WorldTour Pro finishing second at the La Poly Normande.
He is making his grand tour debut at the Vuelta and shares his thoughts on the biggest race of his career, his fateful crash on Stage 2 here, and his thoughts going forward.
