October 17, 2013 (Toronto, ON) — Pedal caught up with Alison Sydor in Toronto during a pre-dinner reception in the Grand Ballroom at the Sheraton Centre for her thoughts and feelings on this special day, October 16, when she was officially inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame. Sydor, from Edmonton, AB, is Canada’s most decorated mountain biker. Her storied career spans 20+ years and includes a silver medal in MTB cross-country at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, a bronze in the road race at the 1991 UCI Road Worlds and three gold medals at the UCI World MTB Championships among many other accolades – read more about the induction and Sydor’s fabulous career here.
