September 28, 2010 (Penticton, BC) – On September 25, as part of the 2nd Annual Penticton Cycling Festival, the Penticton and Area Cycling Association hosted a Cyclocross race on scenic Munson Mountain. The event was also the 1st race in three-race series organized by Catharine Pendrel and sponsored in part by Oakley and Clif Bar. The race was won by Evan Guthrie (Bike Barn), with Dan MacDonald (Total Restoration) in 2nd and Ron Ellis in third. At her first attempt at Cyclocross, Jenny Ayers was the top female rider on the day. Next race for the Interior series is scheduled for October 17th in Kelowna and then October 31st in Kamloops.
