September 26, 2010 (Las Vegas, Nevada) – We were on the case again on Day 3 with more products, bikes, and people as Interbike continued to roll out the carpet on the final day. With happy hours flowing each day at various booths we did our best to keep pace. Here’s a sampling of some of the hot products and personalities that graced our camera lens .
SRAM S30 AL Race Wheels
For 2011 SRAM expands its aluminium wheel range with the addition of a fourth model – the S30 AL Gold. Inspired by their test winning S30 AL Race, the S30 AL Gold adds extra “bling” and sits at the top end of the SRAM line featuring ceramic bearings and Ti skewer.
Pinarello Paris
Pinarello’s latest race machine is the Paris, a little sister to the top of the line Dogma constructed with their EPS system along with Torayca 50HM1.5K Carbon and Nanoalloy technology. The visual differences compared to the Dogma are the absence of the narrowing on the fork and the seat stays, and the chain stays that are straight instead of curved. The Paris sports either Chorus, SRAM Red, or comes as a frame/fork/post.
Sugoi Women’s Piston 140 S/S
Sugoi’s Race + Recovery compression collection features Piston fabric technology, a tight warp knit construction with a high stretch modulus fibre that ensures a light weight, breathable fabric, with extremely strong and consistent compression. Now available in several colours!
Michelin Wild Race’R Advanced Tires
Michelin’s latest Wild Race’R Advanced for hard pack terrain is super fast rolling and features a lightweight design with optimal grip. Available in 127tpi and 26×2.0 to 26×2.25.
Rocky Mountain Element MSL 70
Rocky Mountain’s new Element line includes the RSL (98mm), and the MSL (120mm) with new smoothlink suspension design. The RSL features more aggressive race geometry while the MSL is geared towards all-day epic adventures. Both feature Rocky technology such as ABC (Angular Bushing Concept) pivots and smoothwall, carbon construction, E-Type front derailleurs, and BB92.
Fi’zi:k R1 Shoe
Fi’zi:k gets their foot in the door with a new line of shoes. The R1 tops the line and is constructed from Kangaroo leather for durability, Microfibres for light weight and high strength, and weather resistant sail cloth for the closure system. The new line is handmade in Italy and includes the R3 men’s and women’s version.
DT Swiss Suspension
DT Swiss gets back on track with their fully redesigned suspension line. Using a webbed design within the reverse arch the torsional stiffness on their forks is amazing.
Colnago’s C59
The latest in Colnago’s celebrated line of Composite frames, the new C59 Italia is the ultimate realization of Colnago’s sophisticated approach to carbon construction.
Dahon Vector X10
The Vector X10 is the latest in folding bike technology from Dahon and winner of Eurobike’s 2010 design award. The Vector is only 20lbs and is outfitted with SRAM X7 and X9.
