October 19, 2003 (Las Vegas, Nevada) – From October 12-14, 2003 North America's largest bicycle trade show, Interbike, once again opened its doors to the world of cycling and from preliminary reports, it looks like the world came! Over 1,000 exhibiting companies welcomed 21,000+ visitors, including 9,500 buyers from over 5,500 unique retail storefronts, including over 900 international buyers, plus plenty of media.

The expanded Out-Door Demo day, Interbike's 2-day, pre-show testing event staged October 10-11, broke records, and unfortunately a few bones, attracting over 6,000 attendees – some with a little more ego than skill. Thankfully the only thing we broke was some sweat by hammering every bike we could find around the dusty desert demo area before the sun went down so we could bring you the latest news on the latest equipment.

Following two days of fun in the sun we moved inside to explore over 660,000 square feet of floor space, which housed thousands of products from Avid brakes to Zefal pumps and everything in between. There was no shortage of eye candy at this year's show, much of which was carbon fibre flavored, and certainly no shortage of line-ups for autograph seekers. Along with more new products than you could wave a tire lever at were a peloton of stars including Phil Ligget, David Millar, Tyler Hamilton, Roland Green and of course Bob Roll, who shared with us the secrets of his masterful use of hand gestures during this years Tour de France coverage.
