February 2, 2007 – Icebike 9 will take place on Sunday, February 18, after organizers were forced to cancel the event scheduled for this weekend due to a freezing weather forecast in The Forks/Winnipeg. Environment Canada forecast frigid temperatures into the -20s Celsius.

The Icebike is billed as a fun event in which riders of all abilities can participate in and have a good time. The 3 distance (approximations) categories are:

– 3 km – Snowflake
– 10 km – Icicle
– 20 km – Abominable

There will be male and female categories in each.
