May 9, 2011 (Uxbridge, oN) – Spring is here and Chico Racing is excited to host stop #2 of the Ontario Cup XC Mountain Bike Race Series presented by Plastiglas. Woodnewton, an exclusive race course only minutes from Uxbridge, features a dynamic course loaded with fun, twisty trails and a few new surprises in store for 2011.
Enhanced rock garden features abound, with easy options, and some new exciting sections of trail have been added. Chico Racing has also added a 750 meter training loop to help riders warm-up without having to ride up and down the local concession roads. Expect Chico Racing’s renowned attention to detail, great food services and some nicely marked spectator routes featuring some awesome 3-way viewing sections. This event has categories for everyone from beginners to pros with race distances ranging from 6 km to 40 km.
In addition to Sunday’s race, Chico Racing is hosting a Learn to Race Clinic on Saturday May 14th. This clinic features some of Canada’s best riders and coaches with sessions for both adults and youth.
Pre-registration is available until Tuesday, May 10 for the cross country race with event-day registration on site. The Learn To Race clinic’s online registration ends Thursday, May 12 with no event day registration on site. Visit www.chicoracing.com for more information.
