February 09, 2012 (Toronto, ON) – A good turnout was on hand for the Cabbagetown Cycling Club’s exclusive advance screening of select episodes, a Q&A with the “How To Win Paris-Ancaster” (HTWPA) crew, a chance to win great prizes, and a good ol’ fashioned party with your favourite local cyclophiles!
“How To Win Paris-Ancaster” is a multi-part documentary web series that showcases the adventures of three people at three different levels of cycling experience. Follow former National Cyclocross Champion Mike Garrigan, average weekend hobbyist Jason Zhu, and complete n00b to cycling Lori Steuart as they prepare for Canada’s Spring Cycling Classic – Paris-Ancaster 2013 on April 14.
According to Pedal’s Peter Kraiker who was on site for the advance screening, “It was a good turnout despite the weather. The videos are very entertaining and folks will enjoy them as they get released week-by-week (8 segments in total with the first due out this weekend). They had a silent auction which included a Carlos Sastra autographed jersey, and they had a raffle to raise funds for the Cabbagetown CC.
“The segment where Randell and Zhu are going through the zones while reading Dr. Seuss was really funny. As was the bit where Zhu takes Steuart up the Sydenham hill,” Kraiker added.
